Guam - Wrestlers around the island will get a shot at show casing
their skills at the 2013 Oceania Wrestling Championships set to take place at
the U.O.G Field House. The competition will run from April 8th through the
12th.
Melchor Manibusan with Spike 22 said, "We have 15 countries
in the Oceania region for wrestling and right now we have 7 to 8 countries
coming out of the 15. We have Australia, New Zealand, Palau, Chuuk, FSM,
Marshall Islands, American Samoa and Guam of course. The delegations will be
arriving on April 5th and 6th and we will be having the referee clinic on April
7th at the Bayview Hotel Ballroom in Tumon. Any interested former wrestlers,
staff or officials that want to get certified in FILA Wrestling please check us
out and join the clinic. Log on to www.fila-wrestling.com
and get you FILA license. It's $120.00 online and if you get it there it is a
lot cheaper. If you get it at the tournament it is $210.00 and your FILA
license is good for 1 year and it gives you insurance. For more information you
can give me a call at 797-7745 or Tony Aquino at 687-1493."
