Guam - Reliable Builders has received national recognition for
creating and maintaining the safest work environment possible for its
employees. The company was one of only
five contractors nationwide given the National Safety Excellence Award in the Construction
of Buildings category.
Reliable Builders was selected from 2,300 entries. Vice president Philsan
Kim says they are honored to receive the recognition from the association of
builders and contractors, telling KUAM News, "Over 2012 we had over
452,000 manhours worked with no lost worked days and we submitted an
application defining our safety program and how we go about our business."
And corporate safety director Rully Padios added, "The most
prestigious award and we try to win it everyday is to make sure our workers,
our workforce goes home safely to their families."
This is the first time any company on Guam has received this
national award. A special presentation was made during today's Guam Contractors
Association meeting.
