Guam - The Shell Hal's Angels will look to get back to this year's MFL championship game after coming up short last year in the playoffs to the Pepsi Warriors. The Angels hit the field on Sunday to face the newly formed Falcons team at 2:00 pm at the U.O.G Field.

Coach Mike Willess said, "We're getting ready for this year's MFL League. We have been getting in a lot of playing time and practice in to get ready for the league. Basically we are just to come out like we did last year and put the best 11 out on the field and come out and play strong, smart 4 quarter Angel football. Nothing is going to change as far as our philosophy; we still subscribe to Hal Shiroma style of football. We aren't going to deviate, we are going to come out and play hard every game."

On the offensive side of the ball the Angels are going to look to pound the ball out on the ground with runs and turn to quarterback Steve Philips to get the job done through the air. The Angels have always been known to have a big offensive line and speed at the wide receiver position.

Fullback Mike Pangelinan said, "This year we actually look forward to playing some hard ball. We have a new team, which is the Falcons, and we've seen them practice and I'm pretty sure they are a solid team. As far as our offense and being a fullback I think our running game is pretty solid and we kind of want to bring it back to where we were and as we always do with the Angels. Our passing game we still have Bulla and we have SP along with a couple other receivers that have been making a name for them. I believe we can do a lot of good this year. Last year we didn't have much going on, we had a bunch of things happening and I believe we can turn things around and put that behind us and come back."

Defensively Allen Blend, Ryan Biggler and Joel Limtiaco will anchor things down and look to give their offense more time to make plays.

Limtiaco said, "Defensively, everybody that knows the Shell Hal's Angels know that we are a smash mouth football team from the opening bell to the 4th quarter to the last whistle blows. We have the same group of guys with add ons with Ryan Bigler and myself at safeties. Rashaun Chandler and Allen Blend in the middle with Jake Tamayo on the outside. We have a few guys from the Armed Forces that will help us on the defensive backside as well as Justin the Shocker as you know. We aren't going to underestimate anybody, we are just going to come out and play Shell Hal's Angels football, which is all 4 quarters of hard smash mouth football. We will just play hard, smart and hopefully come out with a championship this year.
