Guam - A woman who was caught trying to smuggle in more than 1,000 grams of crystal methamphetamine with her husband concealed in the soles of their shoes and a padded bra has signed a plea agreement with the federal government.  Kaali Chellathura intends to plead guilty to import more than 50 grams of methamphetamine hydrocholoride.  According to the plea agreement, Chellathura told authorities she and her husband, who are citizens of Malaysia, were having financial problems.

She claims they were offered $8,000 to travel to Hong Kong and deliver unknown items to Guam.  Chellathura says while in Hong Kong, a Chinese man brought them a bra and two pairs of shoes and told them to wear them to guam.  When the couple arrived, Customs officers found numerous packages of the drug ice during a secondary inspection.

Chellathura faces a minimum of ten years behind bars up to life in prison.
