Guam - Just in time for
Black Friday - the official start of the holiday shopping season - $12 million in
tax refunds will be put in the mail before the end of the week. The Calvo
Administration announced today that it will be releasing the checks that will
cover tax years 2011 and prior.
This week's infusion brings the total count of refund payments
since the start of this year to more than $133 million. Governor Eddie Calvo says
he's happy his fiscal policy team continues to prioritize the payment of tax
refunds and says his administration is committed to making the payments and
finding ways to cut spending to pay the refunds.
