Guam - The Committee on Rules is set
to meet on Monday afternoon to establish the agenda for what is expected to be
the last session for the 31st Guam Legislature. Speaker Judi Won Pat has called
for session on Tuesday morning.
Among the items expected to make it
on the agenda: the nomination of governor's legal counsel Maria Cenzon to the
Superior Court bench and possibly Bill 507, otherwise known as The Governor's
Spending Cuts Bill. The committee
report on the provisions related to the Government of Guam Retirement Fund were
completed last Friday.
Following the tabulation errors
during the general election, there may also be an effort to override the
governor's veto of Bill 413, which was aimed at being an election reform
measure but was vetoed because the governor expressed concerns that the measure
contained meddlesome language.
The committee is set to meet Monday
at 2 in the afternoon.
