Guam - Members of the
private sector were a no-show at today's Guam Procurement Advisory Council
meeting. According to chairman John Unpingco, today's meeting was intended to
hear the private sectors views on weaknesses with the government's procurement
process in order to improve efficiency.
Officials had hoped to get their input on whether there is a theme
running through the complaints such as government officials needing more
training and education. Unpingco suspects a technical glitch may have resulted
in the private sectors not showing up and has rescheduled for Friday, November
30 at the Governor's Office Large Conference Room at Adelup.
