Guam - In the Decision 2012
legislative race, the Democrats retained the majority in the 32nd Guam
Legislature with a strong 9-6 split. Incumbent senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr.
was the top votegetter, followed by Frank Aguon, Jr., who returns to the Legislature,
as well as incumbent Tom Ada, Tommy Morrison, Michael San Nicolas, Senator Tony
Ada, Mike Limtiaco, and incumbents Chris Duenas, B.J. Cruz, Judi Won Pat, Tina
Muna Barnes, Ben Pangelinan and Aline Yamashita. Brant McCreadie and incumbent Rory Respicio
round out the top 15.
"My first order of business is to try to be a strong member
of a 15-person team. I think it's very important that we work together as a
team. Our colleagues in the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, we can
learn from each other, make each other better, and at the end of the day it's
all about the people."
Senator Rodriguez said, "It's very rewarding and humbling to
be able to make an impact on our people's lives and we are hoping to serve
another term and carry out the commitment to represent the people the best I
can."
