Guam - Marco Nelson is being held on $100,000 cash bail for the death of his 4-year-old daughter. Nelson was behind the wheel of vehicle that was found speeding. Police attempted to conduct a traffic pullover, but Nelson fled the scene, ran a red light, collided with another car and slammed into a concrete utility pole.
His daughter, Daidenara, was improperly restrained in the backseat and died from injuries she sustained in the crash. Nelson told police he picked up his daughter and went to a friend's house where he drank several beers and then ate dinner. His blood alcohol content was .176 - more than twice the legal limit.
Nelson remains behind bars and is scheduled to appear back in court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
