Guam - Doing its part in thinking green, IP&E Holdings together with Pay-Less Markets announced an alliance this morning to encourage the use of reusable shopping bags. IP&E director of retail sales and operations and engineering Richard Behag says the partnership is part of the company's passion in trying to protect the environment and its firm belief in sustainable development.
He said, "Considering that this is such a small island, all the more we need to double our effort or quadruple our efforts in trying to protect our environment."
He adds while supplies last, at all Shell gas stations, every time you purchase either $30 worth of gas or spend $10 in store, you will be given a free reusable green bag. In its efforts to help decrease plastic waste, IP&E including all Shell stations will not give out plastic bags on Wednesdays. Additionally, starting every Wednesday, Shell will be selling recyclable and reusable bags at a reasonable cost.
