Guam - The Guam Power Authority is taking their message about Smart Meters on the road. The agency is holding a village meeting in Dededo tomorrow evening.

GPA communications director Art Perez said, "Basically what GPA is trying to do with the meters - we want to upgrade our total system as we expressed, about the benefits of the technology and how it will be powerful tool for residents to have to better manage their utility consumption along with the other benefits of the program."

GPA is hoping to address some of the myths and facts regarding smart peters especially some of the concerns raised by residents during a recent public hearing from issues of privacy and health. A Tamuning resident has filed a lawsuit in the District Court against GPA over the planned installation of the meters.

Tomorrow's meeting will be held at the Dededo Senior Citizens Center at 6:30pm.
