Guam - R. Tenorio's Home Industry & Richard Tenorio entered into a consent decree with the federal government. The company was found to be producing poultry products for distribution to stores on Guam in violation of federal law.
THI has agreed to stop making and selling chicken kelaguen wraps at local retail stores until and unless it applies for and receives a federal grant of inspection and is in full compliance with the Poultry Products Inspection Act.
According to the consent judgment and decree, THI agrees to do a number of things to come into compliance including: allowing USDA personnel access to inspect the premises, as well as replacing wooden food preparation surfaces with stainless steel surfaces and implementing and maintaining an effective compliance program. A status hearing is scheduled for February 20.
