Guam - Family and friends of 27-year-old Vincent Palomo are mourning the former Guam resident's passing. Palomo died last week after he was assaulted in a parking lot in New Braunfels, Texas.

Police have arrested Trey Randall Smith, 42, for the assault. Palomo reportedly left the scene in a friend's vehicle after the altercation and died.

He attended Simon Sanchez High School locally until he was 16 and moved to Texas. Rosaries are being said nightly at the Palomo family residence in Yigo 7:30pm. The funeral will be announced following the rosary on Thursday night.
