Guam - While talks of a proposed tuition hike continue at the University of Guam, ten UOG Army Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets were awarded scholarships valued at over $400,000. UOG professor of military science Lieutenant Colonel Scott Bartley says these scholarships were funded by the U.S. Army Cadet Command, which will cover the cost of tuition and books for two to four years.
"In terms of the Army's ROTC scholarship program, it's a great opportunity to pay for your tuition for college, so I highly recommend anyone that's interested in joining the military and becoming an army officer in making something of themselves to pursue the UOG Army ROTC Program."
There are 120 students enrolled in the UOG Army ROTC program.
