Guam - The Guam Environmental Protection Agency is waiting on a decision from its administrative hearing officer on Cyfred's appeal. The company appealed the agency's denial of their proposed pilot sewer system for the sewerless Gill-Baza Subdivision in Yigo.
The Guam EPA had concerns that the property sits above the northern aquifer. The agency didn't consider the proposal to be a sewer system but rather an individual wastewater system, which is a septic tank in a leaching field - not allowed on lots less than half an acre.
The Guam EPA's board of directors is expected to review the written decision at their November meeting.
