Guam - The US Department of Health and Human Services awarded Guam $408,960 in social services grants. According to a news release from the Congresswoman's office, the funding will go to Pa'a Taotao Tano' and the Farm to Table-Guam Corp. Pa'a Taotao Tano will get $273,882 to fund its I Minagahit Kutturan Chamorro: Authentic Chamorro Dance and Traditions project. The funds will be used to establish a Chamorro dance and traditions academy to promote authentic cultural traditions of Chamorro dance, chants, ones and weaving. The Farm to Table-Guam Corp. received $135,078 to support it Guam value-added agriculture planning project and develop viable marketing opportunities for local agricultural products. The funds were awarded through the Administration of Children and Families/ Administration for native American Office of Discretionary grants.
