Guam - Jury selection is underway as a defendant in a 1994 murder case is set to be re-tried. Mark Angoco was convicted of murdering Darwin Datuin. The conviction was reversed by the Guam Supreme Court due to ineffective counsel during trial. Angoco faces multiple charges of aggravated murder and special allegations of possession and use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.
The defense attempted to have the charges thrown out alleging double-jeopardy, but the case has been prepped for trial, which is expected to begin next week.
