Guam - It's good news for Guam's number one industry as Jeju Air opens its ticket counter at the Guam International Airport today. According to Guam Visitors Bureau chair Monte Mesa, Jeju's direct flights from Guam to Korea seven days a week will further encourage our visitor industry to grow and diversify.
He said. "It's very exciting that we're getting a lot of this investment from airlines and we're looking to develop also the same platform for Russia being a direct flight from Russia to Guam very soon."
GVB anticipates 170,000 visitors from Korea for this calendar year.
And while hoping these direct flights to Korea expands our potential in Korea, Governor Eddie Calvo in the meantime met with government officials, tourism heads and media from Vietnam this morning with the hopes of possibly looking at Guam as an area for tourists and investors.
