DOE lands $300K USDA grant

Guam - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded the Guam Department of Education a 2012 USDA Team Nutrition Competitive Grant for $330,344. The money will be used to develop messages promoting healthy eating, physical activity and behavior, training food services staff on proper preparation and serving of nutritious meals and working with the community on building the importance of healthy eating and exercise.
