Guam - The Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence is hosting its annual awareness conference this week in an effort to decrease the growing reports of sexual assault and family violence cases on Guam. The Coalition's Cynthia Cabot says the summit brings together representatives from agencies such as Public Health and Guam Police to learn and create ways to combat this widespread problem, as nearly 80% of cases go unreported.
"I believe that for the most part the biggest problem, is that many of our domestic problems go unreported so our goal is to raise community awareness this is in our community and we want people to be better aware and more importantly there are services out there," she told KUAM News.
