Guam - Calvo's Insurance presented the Guam Table Tennis Federation with a check for $19,000, for the provision of 2 table tennis tables to each Village Community Center on Guam (19 Villages, 38 tables).  The Village Mayors along with Paul Calvo, Jr., Paul Calvo, Sr. (after whom the tournament will be named), were in attendance along with Frank Campillo, and James Ji ,Guam Table Tennis Federation President.

Paul Calvo Jr. told KUAM Sports, "It was about a year and a half ago that Mr. James Ji the President of the Guam Table Tennis Federation came to me and my father and he asked us if we would help underwrite and sponsor the first phase of the table tennis program, which was to put tables in the middle schools and the high schools. So we sponsored one of the high schools and it was very successful and early this year Mr. Ji came to me and says, 'It's now time for us to implement Phase Two',  which is to put table tennis tables in all the villages.

"It would obviously be to get the manamko to get active and get the hand and eye coordination and for the kids to have more access. But we are very happy to support it and to promote health and wellness here on Guam for our community."
