Guam - It's that time of the year again when the Department of
Agriculture's Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources in cooperation with
the Department of Parks and Recs. Host their annual Kids Fishing Derby. It all
goes down Saturday, July 7 from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm at Nimitz Beach
Park in Agat. The derby
is free and for kids ages 7-12 as of July 7, 2012.
Registration
can be done from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the DAWR admin office across from Price Elementary
School. Deadline to register is Thursday July 5th
at 5:00 pm and will be limited to the first 75 registrants per day. Parents
must provide original birth certificates, passport, military or Guam I.D.
Copies and faxes will not be accepted. All participants must also attend the
20-minute safety briefing held at 7:30 am on the day of the derby, failure to
attend will result in immediate disqualification.
