Guam - In girls high school soccer the Notre Dame Royals and
Southern High Dolphins met at the GFA Field in Tumon for this year's
championship title. Both teams played tough through out regulation with the
game decided by penalty kicks after both sides were even at 2 a piece. Southern
led 1-0 in the shootout after Kiarra Sanchez put through the first kick.

Shimizu evened the score when she found the back of the net on her try. Zoe
Surber put Southern back up 2-1 when she capitalized on her kick. Notre Dame would
miss on their second attempt keeping the Dolphins up by 1. April Talledo's kick
shot off the cross bar and went in giving Southern High a 3-1 lead. Jamie
Soriano brought the Royals to with in 1 after she hit the kick for a score.
Southern High would miss their attempt and keep the game interesting up 3-2.
Joni Tedpahogo
evened the game at 3 for the Royals after she got the shot to go pass the
keeper. Paige Surber kicked through the winning goal for the Dolphins as they
took the shoot out win for the title 4-2.
