Rams, Warriors to meet in Miller Bowl

Guam - The Cars Plus Rams are heading to this years MFL Championship game after handing the Limelite Spartans the 37-6 loss on Saturday. Rams quarterback Will Williams used his speed to scramble and fined open receivers for big gains and eventually posting 2 touchdowns through the air. Williams also had a 39-yard run which was the games first score. The Spartans only touchdown of the game came from linebacker Jontue Lee with heads up play on special teams as the Rams went for the onside kick.

Lee scooped up the ball and ran it in 50-yards to the house for the score. Will Williams finished the game with 103 yards rushing and completed 13 of 31 pass attempts for 122-yards, this good for 44 yards to wide receiver Brandon Johnson. Danny Cepeda got into the mix pulling in a score from a couple of yards out. Jesse Manglona finished with 103 yards on the ground on 7 carries.

Meeting the Cars Plus Rams in the title game will be the Pepsi Warriors after they slipped past the defending champions Shell Hal's Angels 26-25 yesterday at the U.O.G Field. Eric Fejeran led the Warriors in the win with 153 yards passing to go along with a touchdown pass to Stephen Santos. Steve Phillips and the Angels passed for 138 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

Josh Bulla was on the receiving end of a 47-yard hookup. Bulla finished the game with 3 grabs for 69-yards. The Angels took the lead in the second quarter when SP hit Joaquin Pangelinan coming out of the backfield for the 23-yard score. The Warriors pounded the ball on the ground for 169-yards and 3 touchdowns. Hosea Ware with 2 of the touchdowns, Shawn Mendiola punched in the other from 3 yards out.

This year's MFL Championship Game is set for this Saturday at 2:30 pm at the UOG Field between the Warriors and Rams.
