Forum series announced for school parents

Guam - Parents and teachers are being invited to express their concerns, complaints and ideas to change public education for the benefit of the island's students. The Governor's Education Task Force announced that 12 separate forums that will be held the next two Saturdays to gather input from the community.  There will be separate forums for teachers and parents to ensure those who are giving their opinions are comfortable speaking out.

The forums will be held on march third and March 10. For those who teach or if your child goes to any school in Dededo or Yigo. The parent forum will be held at Okkodo High School's cafeteria from 9am-12pm.  The teachers' forum will be at held at the same place from 1-4pm in the afternoon.

For parents whose children attend school in the central villages of Tamuning, Barrigada, Mangilao, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Hagatna, Agana Heights, Chalan Pago, Ordot, Sinajana, Asan-Maina or Piti - your forum will be held at Tamuning Elementary School's cafeteria from 9am-12pm.  The teacher forum will be held at the school's cafeteria from 1-4pm. For parents of kids attending school in Santa Rita, Agat, Umatac, Merizo, Inarajan, Talofofo or Yona, the forum will be held at the Merizo Martyrs Elementary School cafeteria from 9am-12pm.
