Guam - PXC 29 wrapped up over the weekend in the Philippines
with our local boys putting on a great show. Ryan Bigler took to the cage
against Dorian Price who is a UFC veteran fighter and season 9 Ultimate Fighter
Show competitor in the middleweight division. Bigs taking the fight to the
ground with the big slam and where he is more dominate. Ryan worked control and
waited for his chance to catch Price slipping. After softening him up Bigler
was able to take his back and earn the first round win by rear naked choke.
Jay Tenorio made his PXC debut against Filipino fighter
Carlo Astudillio in the lightweight division. Tenorio and Astudillio went back
and forth exchanging from up top and on the ground through out the first round.
Tenorio looked to land some knees while Astudillio wanted to keep the fight
standing. After a see saw battle in the first round Tenorio ended the fight 1minute
into the 2nd round with the guillotine choke.
Jesse "The Spiderman" Taitano fell short of
bringing home the 125-pound PXC Championship Belt, losing to Filipino fighter
Ale Cali. Taitano dominated the first round almost pulling off several
submission attempts and clearly winning the round on the judges' scorecards. Cali showed heart
fighting through each submission attempt put on by the Spiderman. Ale Cali would pull off the
win in the 3rd round by referee stoppage.
