Guam - It appears it won't be until next year before we hear a decision involving a lawsuit challenging the legality of the island's plebiscite. During a scheduling conference in District Court this morning, Federal Magistrate Judge Joaquin Manibusan set trial for April 15th, 2013. It was in November last year,  the Center for Individual Rights on behalf of Guam resident Dave Davis filed the lawsuit alleging racial discrimination. Davis a long time Guam resident decided to file suit after he was not allowed to register for the plebiscite to determine Guam's future political status, because he did not meet the definition of "native inhabitant of Guam". The Attorney General has moved to have the complaint dismissed.
