Polluted beach count goes down

Guam - The number of polluted beaches around the island has decreased from weeks past. A dozen beaches made this week's list as samples taken by the Guam Environmental Protection Agency identified several recreational waters as being polluted above accepted bacteriological standards.

Those waters are East Hagatna Bay, Trinchera Beach, Asan Bay Beach, Piti Bay, Santos Memorial Park, Bangi Beach, Umatac Bay, Toguan Bay, Inarajan Pool, Inarajan Bay, Talofofo Bay, First Beach and Pago Bay.  Swimming or fishing in these waters is strongly discouraged, as you could become sick.
