Guam - The Department of Corrections
is conducting an internal affairs investigation after finding a detainee dead
in his cell Tuesday morning. While an autopsy is pending, DOC spokesperson Lt
Antone Aguon says it doesn't appear foul play was involved.
He said, "Preliminarily, we don't have any reason to
believe there was any sort of issues and right now we are not sure it's still
to early to determine what led to this or caused this person to do this."
The detainee was found hanging in his cell. KUAM News has
learned the detainee was Bernard Jennings.
He was confined in September 2010 on charges of attempted murder.
