Guam - The Guam
Memorial Hospital
plans to recommend to its board to reinstate TakeCare Insurance's direct payer
agreement, according to Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr., who mediated a meeting
between the two entities on Tuesday. According to the senator, who heads the Legislature's
Healthcare Committee, the joint meeting resulted in several compromises between
both parties and the reaffirmation of TakeCare insurance to continue its
cooperative partnership with GMH.
In January GMH's Board of Trustees voted to terminate the
agreement effective March 20, based on the company's denial of hospital
billings. The board is scheduled to meet
before the end of the month.
