Guam - The bench trial for
a lawsuit that stems from the blockbuster flop "Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon"
was canceled. The bench trial was
scheduled to begin on Tuesday in front of Superior Court Judge Michael
Bordallo, but according to court officials it was canceled and a status
conference will be held on Thursday morning.
The Guam Economic Development Authority filed suit against
the movie's producer, John Laing and the Guam Motion Picture Company after they
failed to pay back an $800,000 loan guaranty to the agency.
