Guam - More than a dozen students at Maria Ulloa
Elementary School waited
for almost two hours before being picked up after class was dismissed today.
According to Department of Education deputy superintendent Rob Malay, the Department
of Public Works reported they were short on busses as some were down and
drivers were out sick.
DPW bus operations supervisor Franklin Taitano assures doe
that he scrambled to get a driver to the school the moment he was made aware of
the situation. Malay hopes to meet with Taitano this week to discuss how to
prevent such events.
