Guam - A 26-year-old man is behind bars on $100,000 cash bail after he allegedly formulated a plan to kill a Guam Police Department officer on Friday. According to the magistrate's complaint, Michael Joaquin Torre and two other male individuals allegedly told a 17-year-old girl to lure the officer to an undetermined location in order for the men to conduct a "hit", meaning to kill the officer.

Court documents state, the men allegedly told the teen to contact the officer and convince him that she had information to provide, as a way to stall the officer long enough so that they could "make sure he is off the streets." The trio told her the specific officer was going to arrest her father, and that it is in her best interest to cooperate with their request. The teen feared for her life and told police of the men's plot to kill a GPD officer. Documents add that same day Torre asked a friend of the teen for ammunition.

Torre was booked and confined on charges of conspiracy to commit murder as a 1st degree felony and terrorizing as a 3rd degree felony. A second suspect is still under investigation and being questioned by police, while the third male suspect is at large.
