Guam - The Attorney General's Office has until Monday to file
any objections they have with Superior Court Judge Arthur Barcinas hearing Police
Captain Mark Charfauros' criminal case. As we first reported ,the judge tried
to remove himself from the case because of his personal relationship with the
former senator, but the acting presiding judge found it wasn't sufficient
grounds for recusal.
The judge will
hear the recusal issue on Monday morning.
Charfauros meanwhile was a no-show agreeing to have his attorney act on
his behalf. The police captain is accused
of soliciting another officer to commit assault.
He has denied
the allegations.
