Guam - Although the buildup is on pause, you can expect to see a surge of military personnel on Guam, as Cope North gets underway at Andersen Air Force Base. The tri-lateral exercise kicks off next Thursday and for the first time the Royal Australian Air Force will be joining the U.S. Air Force and the Japan Air Self Defense Force.

Cope North is designed to enhance air operations between the three countries. Approximately 1,000 people will be participating and will be on Guam through the duration of the exercise, which wraps up on the 24th.
