Guam - The Fo Guang Shan Guam Temple will be hosting a wisdom light offering dharma service and New Year Community Festival this weekend. According to Buddhas Light International Association President Rich Huang, the event is family friendly and will feature various vegetarian dishes.

He said, "We invite the public to share the different foods that we have here and it's also an opportunity for us to fundraise. We're doing different charities and all the proceeds are always donated to different charities."

Huang says the vegetarian diet not only protects and respects animal life, but is beneficial for overall health. Food coupons will be sold on site. The event will be held Sunday beginning at 10 in the morning at the Fo Guang Shan Temple on Bello Road.
