Guam - In the first fight of the night Rudy San Nicolas took on Robin Eclavea in a lightweight match up. From the start of the fight both guys came out swinging looking to land that knock out punch. San Nicolas proved to be the more experience ground fighter getting the takedown early and work in some punches. Eclavea wasn't able to use his reach as Rudy kept finding his way inside for big takedowns. Rudy San Nicoals would come out on top after 3 rounds with the unanimous decision win after controlling the fight on the ground.
Alfred Aguon went straight to work on Joseph Quitugua landing from up top and rocked him after connecting on a super man punch and followed up with a couple of more strikes pinning Quitugua against the cage. Quitugua would get back up to his feet but would eat a knee before going back to the ground where Alfred Aguon was able to sink in the guillotine choke and get the tap early in round 1.
Christian Mafnas dominated Mark Castro from beginning to end forcing Castro to verbally submit in round 1. After a brief stand up Mafnas was able to put Castro on his back and rain down with shots. After Mark Castro was unable to defend himself and avoid taking punishment he was forced to quit awarding Mafnas the win less than 2 minutes into the fight.
Jared Mellon made quick work of Chris Borja in their 180-pound fight. Mellon stalked Borja all over the cage and when it was time to exchange, Mellon connected on a few strikes and threw a kick that grazed Borja sending him to the canvas for the t.k.o win.
Tyrone Jones picked up the unanimous decision win against Tarvis Melsior at a 160-pounds. Jones showed cage control and picked up crucial takedowns in the fight that was eventually the difference maker. Melsior fought tough and avoided a couple of submission attempts by Jones through out the 3 rounds. Tyrone looked to be the more experienced of the two when the fight did go to the ground keeping Melsior on his back for the decision win.
Jay Teijeron picked up the win against Mcklane Alfred by disqualification. Mcklane Alfred had Teijeron mounted and was landing blows, but when referee Tony DeAngelo attempted to stop the fight, Alfred landed shots after the break forcing DeAngelo to disqualify Alfred for continuously striking a downed opponent.
Ricky Camp evened the score against Scotty Eclavea in their rematch fight at 135-pounds. Eclavea took the first meeting by submission in the last round of the fight. This time around Camp worked extensively on his ground game and showed it Friday night as Eclavea was unable to secure a takedown. Camp won the stand up portion of the fight and worked Eclavea on the ground getting takedowns of his own and landing more of the power shots for the unanimous decision win.
