Guam - The 31st Guam Legislature continues in quick fashion to move through its January session agenda. Seven bills and a resolution were moved to voting file today. On the floor several bills up for debate included Bill 337 related to leases and licenses for Chamorro Land Trust properties. Bill 406, introduced just recently which would settle a 17-year-old debt for the Chamorro Village project to Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Company.
The bill provides assignability of offsets against business privilege taxes for the outstanding debt balance owed to the company. Lawmakers head back into session tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock.
