Man on moped hit by car in Mongmong

Guam - A Navy man who is 23 was taken to Naval Hospital this morning after his moped was struck by a vehicle in Mongmong. Police say the driver of a red Honda Accord was making a left turn from Roy T. Damian Street onto R.S. Sanchez Street when he struck the scooter traveling in the oncoming lane.

The windshield of the vehicle cracked from the impact of the crash. The driver who has only been identified as a man in his 30's was taken into police custody for questioning. GFD medics took the victim to the hospital in Agana Heights where he is being treated for minor injuries. 

The sailor is in serious condition.
