Guam - Aside from discussions on the Untalan Middle School relocation, the board discussed the ongoing issues related to contract negotiations with the Guam Federation of Teachers. GEB chairperson Francis Santos said, "Well, the board after discussion voted an a motion that we would have to ask a legal opinion from the AG if the vote that we took in October to extend the collective bargaining agreement is actually valid.
"We're going to go ahead and draft that request and see how soon the AG can come up with that opinion."
Last October the GEB passed a motion to extend the Department of Education's current contract with the union until August 2012.
