Guam - Although we are a couple weeks into the New Year, the Guam Fire Department's Operation Dragon Slayer is still catching several stores selling illegal fireworks. GFD's Captain Joe Flores tells KUAM News inspectors found small boxes of fireworks at Shop 4 Less in Dededo on Tuesday afternoon.

The contraband was immediately confiscated and disposed, and the store was warned about selling fireworks. He adds in the past week GFD also confiscated fireworks from Yong Choi Market in Maite, Hafa Adai Market in Yigo as well as several others stores along Ysengsong Road in Dededo.

Flores says the operation will continue as the fire department continues to get tips about the items being sold.
