Guam - Resolve to be ready in 2012 - that's the message from Guam Homeland Security. Spokesperson Alyssa Benito says the campaign is a nationwide effort designed to increase awareness as well as encourage everyone to take action and prepare for emergencies.
She said, "Have that readily available if you need to leave the house in the event a disaster were to strike, another way to be prepared is to have a family plan, talk to your kids and work with where you would meet during a disaster."
She also urges residents to know your surroundings. For their part, she says Homeland Security will be conducting weekly internal emergency drills. You can find out more information on Ready.gov.
