Bordallo applauds pay increase for workers

Guam – Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo is calling the Obama Administration's proposal to increase civilian federal pay "encouraging news." President Barack Obama will propose a 0.5 percent pay increase for civilian federal employees. He is expected to include this pay increase in his budget proposal for fiscal year 2013, and will submit it to Congress in February. Bordallo states the employees have had a pay freeze during one of the most fiscally-challenging times for our nation, "This proposal, though modest, would help our Federal workers on Guam.  I look forward to reviewing the rest of the President's budget proposal when it's released in February.
