Mid Pac Far East wins ambulance bid

Guam - Mid Pac Far East was awarded the bid to purchase three new ambulances for the Guam Fire Department. GFD Spokesperson Lt. Ed Artero says the award was made official last Friday. He says the agreement includes a 5-year maintenance program by the company. GFD is using half a million in grant money from the Department of Interior to make the purchase. As we reported, the procurement specification of the ambulances was protested by Morrico equipment last October resulting in a delay of the award. GFD and the General Service Agency have since worked with the interested vendors to make corrections to the bid specifications. Mid Pac Far East is the same company that won the bid last year to lease four ambulances to the fire department.
