Guam - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Caucasian man who attempted to kidnap a 16-year-old boy minor in broad daylight on Monday afternoon. The teen was jogging on Mendioka Lane near St. Paul Christian School when he was approached by a man driving a teal Mazda pickup. Police say the man tried to get the teen to get into his vehicle by offering him money but the boy refused.
Officer Allan Guzman told KUAM News, "He then blocked the kid off and continued to entice the boy into going with him, apparently the boy was trying to walk away, he grabbed the boy's arm, a struggle ensued and apparently the boy was able to flee from the suspect. He did sustain some injuries from the altercation with the suspect."
The suspect is described as being male, Caucasian in his mid-30s standing about 5'9" and weighing 170 lbs. He had short, brown hair and was wearing a v-neck grey colored t-shirt, blue jean shorts and slippers. He also may have an injury to his left shoulder. Police say he was operating an older Mazda B-2000 or B-2200 truck.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 472-8911 or Guam Crimestoppers at 477-HELP (4357).
