Guam - Five security cameras are up and running at Vicente Benavente Middle School and more are to be installed this week. Principal Dexter Fullo says the equipment costs $4,000 and was funded by the school's parent teacher organization.
He told KUAM News, "This will be done - it's a matter of when and really we're at the mercy of the volunteers. They're going out of their way they're coming in and they're giving up Saturdays, they're going to come in the evenings this week, based on my understanding. We're hopeful that if we pace ourselves in our way where we have our cameras up and deter a lot of the vandalism and break-ins that occur at our school."
Fullo is grateful for the school's PTO for taking the initiative to secure funds for the preventative equipment.
