Guam – More of our island heroes are coming home this weekend after spending the past 6 months deployed to the Middle East. 18 members of the Guam Air National Guard's 254thsecurity forces squadron were deployed to Iraq in June, and six are now expected to return in the next two days with more to arrive in the next couple of weeks. According to the Guam national guard, the Airmen are returning in smaller teams due to the limited number of seats on flights departing their current area of operations. While deployed the team conducted air base ground defense missions including perimeter patrols and security for base entry points. Two airmen from the group also returned home several days ago.
