TrashCo's intervention request to be heard

Guam - With a new December 30 deadline to pay its outstanding tipping fees, TrashCo still wants to intervene in the ongoing consent decree case. TrashCo was given a notice that they would no longer be able to dispose of solid waste on the island because of their $350,000+ outstanding bill. TrashCo reconciled its tipping fees and offered to settle the dispute with a payment of $65,000, but the AG's Office has yet to answer whether the payment would be enough to prevent the issuance of a notice of termination to the company.

TrashCo contends termination would result in closure of the business. The government meanwhile has opposed the intervention motion. A hearing is set for Tuesday morning at 10:30.
