Guam - Paseo Park in Hagatna may get some much-needed renovations. According to Department of Parks and Recreations director Pete Calvo, American Reinvestment and Recovery Act funding may soon be available for DPR to spruce up the popular site.

"We are looking at the possibility of partnering up with another private company to go in there and help us with the structural repairs. We're depending heavily on an ARRA grant, which will come in and refurbish the lights and some of the restroom and water facilities there. We're looking at that come through first before we start talking to some interested companies that may be willing to help us in some areas," he said.

The ARRA funding is expected to help six facilities. Calvo adds that DPR strives to keep community sites like Paseo clean.
