Golden Hoops Classic tourney concludes

Guam - The Golden Hoops Classic (GHC) 2011 Fall Tournament presented by Aloha Maid and Bank of Guam ended it's six weeks of tournament play Sunday at Tamuning Gym to a full house of fans passionate about the sport.


18 plus competitive division;
 Tamuning Typhoons worked to the end to claim their first championship title against DLX All Stars 61-57 in overtime. DLX Joaquin Charfauros was named the MVP. Sinajana Rockers Ryan Nangauta was named the division BofG Top Scorer with a total of 158 points averaging 15.8 per game.
 
30 plus competitive division;
 Tamuning Typhoons earned their first championship title with a win against Inarajan Hawks 64-53. Typhoons Bruce Aguon was named the MVP. Sandy Fejeran with Team Fire Club was named the BofG Top Scorer with a total of 167 points averaging 20.88 per game.

40 plus competitive division;
 Team Fire Club took a victory over Inarajan Hawks for the title 58-39. Team Fire's Mike Sanchez was named the MVP. Hawks Dean Castro won the BofG top scorer award with a total of 109 points averaging 15.57 per game.

45 plus competitive division;
 Inarajan Hawks defeated Ada's Trust Club for the championship title 52-39. Hawks Ray Chargualaf was named the MVP. Tamuning Typhoons Joe Teodosio won the BofG top scorer award with a total of 159 points averaging 17.87 per game.

Open recreation division;
 Aloha Maid Mystics secured another championship title against Sinajana Rockers 48-38. Mystics Theresa Sison received the MVP award. Rockers Shalene Banez won the BofG top scorer award with a total of 144 points averaging 16 per game.
